Tanzhaus Lister Turm or Radtanz

The Tanzhaus takes place in the Lister Turm district center from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by a dance and music session on the following dates:

The wheel dance in the Eilenriede in the lawn labyrinth starts about three hours before sunset. Due to the weather, the dates may be postponed by a few days or a week, which we will announce here and in the mailing list of LAG-Tanz and Tanzhaus-Initiative Lister Turm. Dance house networking and celebration day

Balfolks, Tanzhaus, Folkball & Co: For folk music groups, Tanzhaus organizers and dance instructors as well as interested dancers and musicians there will be a networking and getting to know each other with workshops and a dance festival on September 10th, 2022.

This festival is for dance houses and dance circles, where international folk dances are taught and danced to live music: Balfolk, Balkan, Swedish dances and and and… People who plan to start this are also welcome. The event is primarily aimed at dance halls/dance circles in Lower Saxony, Bremen and Hamburg, but active and interested people from other regions are also invited. It’s about getting to know each other, exchanging ideas and thinking about future cooperation.

Preliminary program

Saturday

Round of introductions: 11 a.m. Workshop 1: Where do we stand? Examples of topics: How are the different dance houses organized? Which music groups play there? What dances are danced? Are these instructed? Do music groups have a specialization, eg Balfolk or Scandinavian? Traditional music only? royalty How is public relations organized?

LUNCH BREAK (bring your own buffet, otherwise there is a restaurant)
Workshop 2: Where do we want to go? Examples of topics: What is the need for networking? Website? How can LAG-Tanz support us? And the dance houses among themselves? Invite music groups together? How can music groups organize a performance in a dance house? Dance instructors and dancers: dance or workshop requests? Musician: Musician workshop? If necessary, the plenum is divided into smaller groups, which may discuss specific topics.

Sunday brunch If you want, you can stay overnight in the Naturfreundehaus (easily reached by tram). There is a brunch on Sunday for the festival participants – also for guests who have not stayed there overnight.
